Ever since the launch of New World several years ago, one of the constant points of feedback was the quality of different in-game skins (and even a Transmog system). Several years post-launch, New World was able to implement a Transmog system, allowing players to further express themselves by updating their character’s appearance in fun, unique ways.
Over the last year or so, New World has noticeably enhanced the available in-game skins across the board, ranging from seasonal skin sets to even holiday-themed mount skins (like a Turkey!)
Just recently the team shared an update on even more skins being available in their in-game store, including the Sovereign’s Swimwear collection, the Solar Conjunction set, and the Corruption Hunter set (all pictured below).
Transmog Tokens
Although these three sets highlighted above are only available in the in-game store, there are still hundreds of transmog options in-game simply by exploring Aeternum. However, in order to use the skins of items you collect as you play the game, you will need to use a Transmog Token.
Using a Transmog Token permanently unlocks you the ability to take the appearance of a specific item and use it as a skin on any other item within that category (ex: skin for a helmet, skin for boots). It’s highly recommended that you complete the Seasonal Reward Track each season, as there are multiple free Transmog Tokens you can unlock for free this way!
