007 First Light Aims for a Premium PC Experience With RTX Tech

IO Interactive has shared new details about 007 First Light, including full PC requirements and a new collaboration with NVIDIA GeForce. The James Bond game launches on May 27, 2026, and even if the studio is clearly aiming for a high-end PC experience, the requirements are more approachable than you might expect.

The announcement confirms that 007 First Light has been developed in close collaboration with NVIDIA to take advantage of modern RTX features, while still running comfortably on mid-range systems.

A Focus on Smooth, Cinematic PC Gameplay

IO Interactive says the goal on PC is to make 007 First Light feel smooth and effortless to play. That means responsive controls, good performance, and visuals that live up to the cinematic feeling of a Bond game.

To help with that, the game supports DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation on compatible NVIDIA GPUs. In practice, this should help boost performance and also keep image quality intact, especially during big action moments and more detailed scenes.

IO also confirmed that its Glacier engine has received major upgrades for this project. Characters are more expressive, lighting is more refined, and environments are designed to feel more dynamic and alive overall.

PC Requirements Are More Reasonable Than Expected

Despite all the RTX and DLSS talk, the PC requirements are actually pretty manageable. The minimum specs target a stable 1080p experience and should be fine for a lot of players running older or mid-range systems.

You need a more modern setup for the recommended specs, especially if you want to take full advantage of DLSS and the game’s more advanced visual features.

More Platforms, Early Access, and Pre-Order Bonus

007 First Light is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox ROG Ally devices. If you pre-order the game, you will be upgraded to the Deluxe Edition at no extra cost, and that includes 24-hour early access, 4 exclusive outfits, a gleaming gadget skin pack, and 1 new weapon skin!

Between the NVIDIA collaboration, upgraded engine tech, and reasonable PC requirements, 007 First Light looks set to deliver a polished PC experience without locking players behind extreme hardware demands.
