10 Ways to Boost Damage in Where Winds Meet

Savvvo's Avatar by Savvvo

Where Winds Meet is one of the most talked-about games of 2025, blending open-world exploration with fluid combat and deep progression systems. As players push into higher-level content, maximizing damage output becomes critical, as it may be the determining factor of taking down that difficult raid boss or enemy.

In this guide, we break down 10 proven ways to boost your damage in Where Winds Meet, based on the latest strategies from veteran players and community. For a quick overview, feel free to watch the video below.

Tip #1: Arsenal Bonuses

Starting at level 41, you will unlock the “Arsenal” feature. This allows you to repurpose your older, out leveled gear for additional bonuses (including additional damage output and health). Every time you reach a new level cap and unlock the next tier of equipment, you can repurpose your older equipment by placing it within the Arsenal.

With this being said, it’s best practice to try to max out your gear as much as possible as you continue to progress your character, as you’ll be able to repurpose that gear regardless and your hard work will still be worthwhile.

Be sure to keep an eye on your Arsenal, and in some cases, you may even want to invest in lower leveled gear so you can add on to all of the bonuses!

Tip #2: Consumables

There are certain consumables in this game that can drastically increase your overall damage output. For example, by successfully defeating fishing minigames throughout the map, you’ll be able to unlock a handful of unique recipes, including one known as “Double Shreds”.

Double Shreds is a food that increases physical attack by 50-100 for 30 minutes, making it a game-changer in regard to overall damage output! Additionally, there are items known as “Scripts” that can provide additional benefits to further enhance your character’s power. Do not sleep on these items – they can be very useful!

Tip #3: Divinecrafts

As you continue to progress your character, you will eventually unlock the Divinecraft menu. This allows you to upgrade three different divinecrafts (fire, water, and poison), each providing unique additional benefits when using each divinecraft.

For example, if you level up the poison divinecraft, you’ll be able to increase HP damage dealt by a certain percentage and also apply poison to the enemy whenever you use the poison divinecraft. All of these upgrades will contribute to your character dealing more damage!

Tip #4: Tuning

This one is a bit obvious, but it’s VERY important to ensure you tune all of your gear as much as possible if you are trying to max out your overall damage output. There are several tuning attributes such as Physical Attack and martial-specific boosts (like + Bamboocut damage) that can be picked up when tuning your gear.

By tuning all of your gear as much as possible, you’re increasing your chances of getting these damage-oriented perks, and ultimately increasing your overall damage output.

Tip #5: Auto-set Divinecrafts

Not many players realize that you can actually auto-set your divinecrafts so that you don’t need to manually use them mid-battle. In order to do this, you’ll want to go to your main menu, then visit settings, then game, and then scroll all the way down and enable the option “Auto Use Divinecraft Tool”.

This will automatically allow you to use these divinecrafts in battles, ultimately leading to additional damage output (especially if you’re using poison)!

Tip #6: Talents

As you defeat certain bosses or simply progress your character, you’ll begin to unlock Talent points. You’ll want to make sure you explore the world as much as possible to help pick-up additional talent points, as some of them directly provide additional physical attack, leading to additional damage output!

Tip #7: Inner Ways

Depending on your build, you’ll want to make sure you have selected and invested in the right four inner ways. Each inner way can provide MAJOR damage-impacting buffs as you continue to upgrade them, and they can make or break your entire build.

For example, the Morale Chant inner way is one of the most commonly used inner ways for every build due to all of the insane buffs it provides. This inner way provides a chance to gain certain stacks that lead to increased Physical Penetration, Damage output and Healing output, and greatly scales as you continue to upgrade it.

Be sure to do your research for your build and select the four inner ways you should focus on and then start upgrading them as much as possible!

Tip #8: Enhance Gear

Another obvious, but a highly important one. Within the “Gear” section in your Develop menu, you will want to make sure you fully upgrade each gear slot as much as possible. This will greatly boost not only your damage output, but also overall survivability.

Tip #9: Oddities

As you explore the world, you will encounter unique items known as Oddities. These could be bee hives, crickets, beetles, birds’ nests, and other unique, glowing items. You can exchange these oddities at certain NPCs in exchange for passive buffs, including certain buffs that can increase your Physical Attack. Be sure to collect as many of these as possible, as they can directly increase your character’s damage output.

Tip #10: Mystic Skill Selection

To further enhance your damage output, it’s important to take a closer look at certain mystic skills that work well together. For example, Dragon’s Breath and Drunken Poet work directly with eachother, with each skill buffing the other. Additionally, other skills such as Lion’s Roar and Leaping Toad work with eachother as well, leading to a massive burst of damage.

These are just ten of the many different ways you can boost your damage output in Where Winds Meet. Good luck out there as you continue to progress your characters!
