ANANTA is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated gacha releases in the scene. Since the first trailer dropped nine months ago, details have been scarce, leaving players hungy for any new information. With the Tokyo Game Show just around the corner, updates are finally starting to surface.
What is ANANTA?
Formerly known as Project Mugen, ANANTA is a free-to-play action RPG developed by Ranked Rain and published by NetEase. The game will feature gacha elements and is set to launch on multiple platforms, including PC, mobile, and PlayStation.
Set in an open-world environment, ANANTA lets players explore a modern city while battling “Chaos,” a mysterious force threatening humanity. As an elite agent, your mission is to investigate the danger and uncover the strange anomalies it leaves behind.
PC Requirements Are Out
Some players noticed that ANANTA’s TapTap page now lists both the minimum and recommended specs needed to run the game. The numbers, however, are raising eyebrows in the community.
- Minimum requirements: GTX 1060 6GB, 16 GB RAM, i5-9400F / Ryzen 7 3700X
- Recommended requirements: RTX 3080, 32 GB RAM, i7-12700K / Ryzen 9 9900X
On top of that, the game is expected to take up around 40 GB of storage at launch, which is a hefty size for a gacha’s initial install.
The community is split on this. Some players are surprised by the demanding specs for a free-to-play gacha. Others see it as a promising sign that ANANTA might deliver top-tier visuals and content.
Still, since the game is still in development, these numbers shouldn’t be taken as final. Requirements are likely to be adjusted before release, especially with a mobile version also on the horizon.
More News Coming Soon
Even if the details aren’t final, ANANTA is finally braking its long silence. With over 5 million pre-registrations already locked in, the hype keeps growing. Honestly, fans had started to worry about the lack of updates.
That news drought seems to be over. On its official Japanese X account, the team confirmed that ANANTA will have a booth at Tokyo Game Show 2025.
The game showing up at the event suggests we might get a playable demo maybe even a brand-new trailer. Hardware company Razer has also announced its presence at the booth, hinting at a possible collaboration or just supporting the demo booths with gear.
With TGS 2025 just around the corner, excitement is running high. Are you looking forward to the news? And when ANANTA finally launches, will you be jumping in?
