ARC Raiders Introduced Duo Matchmaking, Store Updates & More

Embark Studios has released a new community update for ARC Raiders, and they prepared a ton of good quality-of-life improvements that players actually asked for. The team has created Duo Matchmaking, adjusted store prices, and added the free Raider Deck to make the early game experience more rewarding.

Since launch, the developers have been really quick to react to community suggestions, and this latest patch is another clear step that will optimize the experience for all Raiders.

Duo Matchmaking Now Active

After a period of silent testing earlier this week, ARC Raiders has officially enabled Duo-prioritized matchmaking. Here is how it works:

  • Solos and squads are prioritized to play separately.
  • Duos now get matched with other Duos when possible.
  • Trios will continue to pair up with other Trios.

This is not a 100% guaranteed system, but it should make matches fairer and more balanced, especially for players who prefer teaming up with just one friend. Basically, when you matchmake, it will now first put solo players with other solo players, and squads with squads, and after that, if there are duos, they will be put with other duos, and trios with trios.

Store Cosmetic Prices Lowered

Embark has also changed the in-game store prices, lowering the costs for a few cosmetics after hearing community feedback. If you already purchased any item under the old prices, do not worry, you will automatically receive Raider Tokens refunded for the difference. You can expect this to happen sometime next week.

The new prices will go live on Thursday, November 13, at 10:30 CET.

Free Raider Deck Available

Raider Decks have also been introduced, offering rewards as you progress. Basically, it will be a sort of Battle Pass, and the first one is free for everyone. Here is what you need to know:

  • A free Raider Deck is available now to all players.
  • Free decks include gameplay items to help players.
  • Future premium decks will focus only on cosmetics and convenience, keeping ARC Raiders free of any pay-to-win elements.

The developers also reminded players to check out the 2025 Roadmap, because it highlights upcoming updates and adjustments. They also hope that the community will continue to share so much feedback, as it really helps to make the game better.

With these changes, ARC Raiders is definitely building toward a healthier, fairer long-term experience for everyone!
