From October 17 to 19, you can jump into ARC Raiders’ Server Slam! A free public playtest is available right now on Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
No codes. No sign-ups. Just download the game and head straight into the Rust Belt before the full launch on October 30.
How to Join the Server Slam
Getting in is actually quite simple:
- Head to your platform’s store (Steam, Epic Games Store, PS5, or Xbox Series X/S).
- Search for ARC Raiders Playtest or Server Slam, and download the Server Slam version.
- Play anytime between October 17-19.
- No access keys or sign-ups required, it is open to everyone 16 and older.
It is important to know that all progress will reset before launch. However, players who take part and link their Embark ID will earn an exclusive Server Slammer Backpack to use in the full game.

Depending on your region, the Slam might start at a different time:
- West Coast US: 6 am PDT
- East Coast US: 9 am EDT
- UK: 2 pm BST
- Europe: 3 pm CEST
- Australia: 12 am AEDT (October 18)
- New Zealand: 1 am NZST (October 18)
If you played the previous playtest, the Server Slam will be considered an update to that original download, so you will have to check in your library directly. Other players need to look for “Arc Raiders – Playtest” or “Arc Raiders – Server Slam” on the store page.
There have been a few issues with Steam, and you might need to restart your launcher for it to appear.
What Is Available During the Slam
The Server Slam features a large portion of the early game, so you can really experience how the world of Speranza feels before release.

Map – Dam Battlegrounds
Explore the Dam Battlegrounds, a flooded landscape filled with forests, research ruins, and decaying industrial sites. You can go solo or team up with friends as you fight through this first major map of the full game.
You will have to watch out for environmental hazards like Electromagnetic Storms, Night Raids, and maybe even a surprise visit from the Queen.

Weapons, Gear, and Crafting
You will have access to early and mid-tier weapons and equipment, as well as basic crafting stations for weapons, gear, and medical items.
Higher-tier blueprints and upgrades are locked until launch, but you can still scavenge, trade, and experiment with your loadout.
Trading and Quests

The traders of Speranza will send you on early quests that reveal parts of the world’s story. You will also earn rewards, or be able to sell what you do not need, and build trust with them.
This is an important part of survival in ARC Raiders.
Raider Decks & Feats
During the Server Slam, you will get to test the Raider Deck system with one unlockable page of items. You can also complete Feats. Those are small rotating challenges that reward Cred, the game’s progression currency.
What Is Locked Until Launch
Some systems will be visible, but not yet active in this test:
- Projects (Expeditions) – Those are long-term missions that carry permanent rewards
- Trials – The endgame challenges with leaderboards
- Codex – A sort of lore archive of your Raider’s discoveries
Enemies You Will Face
The Rust Belt is not an empty world! You with have to face ARC machines:
- Wasps – Fast-flying drones that strike from above
- Ticks – Small, deadly insects that can ambush you
- Bastions – Heavy tanks with devastating power
- Leapers – More agile close-range enemies
Each machine has a distinct sound that can save your life if you pick up on it in time, especially for those who tend to ambush you. Listen carefully during your exploration.

A Final Test Before Launch
This Server Slam is the final large-scale test before ARC Raiders officially launches on October 30.
By playing, you will help the team stress-test servers, refine performance, and make sure you get a smoother experience when the full version goes live.
So gear up, link your Embark ID, and step into the Rust Belt. Speranza needs you, and the fight against the ARC starts now!
