Ubisoft just dropped a teaser that nobody really saw coming! Assassin’s Creed Shadows is teaming up with Attack on Titan, and yes, it is as chaotic and fun as it sounds.

The crossover arrives with Title Update 1.1.6 and is available right now until December 22, making it a limited-time event that you definitely do not want to miss.
Attack on Titan Event
The special quest introduces a dark new storyline! A mysterious, power-hungry faction has infiltrated feudal Japan and kidnapped a Titan-Shifter, planning to use its power to unleash destruction across the land. After a rescue attempt fails, a lone survivor recruits Naoe and Yasuke to stop the group before a Titan can be unleashed on Japan.
How to Start the AoT Quest
To begin the event, you will need to meet a quest giver:
- Region: Yamashiro
- Location: North of Hanazo Tower
- Important: The quest will not appear on the objective board until you talk to the NPC
- Requirement: You must unlock Yasuke as a playable character
AoT Event Rewards
During and after the quest, you will unlock special cosmetic and weapon rewards:
- Hideout decorations:
- Attack on Titan style banners
- A statue
- Final reward:
- A Crystal Katana for Naoe
Alongside the quest, Ubisoft also added a paid AoT Dual Pack in the in-game store, featuring:
- Themed outfits
- Special weapons
- Trinkets
- A brand-new mount inspired by Attack on Titan
Other Patch 1.1.6 Content (Quick Summary)
The Attack on Titan crossover is obviously the main star, but the update also brings extra content and a few adjustments and but fixes.
New Story Quest: “A Puzzlement”
A new quest where Naoe and Yasuke investigate a mysterious door in south Wakasa. During this quest:
- Naoe learns her own version of Yasuke’s war kick
- Yasuke learns a non-lethal stealth ability
- You can trigger a friendly duel between the two characters
- A new complex environmental puzzle is introduced
In order to access the quest, you need to unlock Yasuke and defeat at least two members of the Shinbakufu.
Corrupted Castles Improvements
- Less repetition of the same castles
- Better enemy and loot distribution each season
General Bug Fixes & Improvements
The patch also fixes:
- Crashes and stability issues
- Combat finisher problems
- UI pricing bugs
- Visual glitches (Ezio outfit, building skins, weapons)
- Quest blockers and broken rewards
- Audio crashes on Xbox
- DLC item collection issues
