Battlefield 6 Reveals Multiplayer, Destruction & Release Date!

EA just revealed more about Battlefield 6 in a massive livestream, and it looks like they are going all-in this time! The game is being rebuilt from the ground up. We are not talking just visually, but in how it plays. Everything is sharper, faster, and more immersive, with new movement options, refined gunplay, and a heavy focus on chaos and destruction.

We are talking about pulling teammates to safety while reviving them, sneaking around corners, crouch sprinting, and combat rolls. Even destruction has gameplay weight now! You can collapse floors to trap enemies or blast through walls to open new paths. It is not just chaos for show anymore.

On top of that, the official release date was announced! You can expect the game to launch on October 10, 2025! With an early Beta access on August 7 and 8. And an open Beta will be available on August 9-10 and August 14-18!

Iconic Classes Are Back

The class system is officially back, and it has got some cool upgrades. You will have the possibility to pick from the following options:

  • Assault: Frontline melee combat with flashbangs, a grenade launcher, and even the option to carry two primaries.
  • Engineer: The bomb expert with mines, rockets, and repair tools.
  • Support: Keeps the team alive with supply crates, heals, deployable cover, and LMGs.
  • Recon: Long-range sniper with drones, C4, and tools to mark targets or guide missiles.

Each class has clear roles and gear that defines how you play! Pick what you like or what you are comfortable playing. If you are blowing up tanks or keeping your squad on its feet, everyone is needed in the squad this time!

Global Warfare in 2077

The campaign takes place in the year 2077, after a major NATO collapse. You will follow elite Marines fighting against the Pax Armada, and you will be moving across global hotspots. EA promises realistic storytelling, multiple playable characters, and a darker political edge than past games!

Maps & Modes

Battlefield 6 launches with 9 maps across different regions and combat styles:

  • Gibraltar – tight, urban CQB
  • Tajikistan – wide open, all-out warfare
  • Brooklyn, USA – mixed urban fights
  • Egypt – large-scale infantry & vehicle battles
  • Operation Firestorm – classic BF3 map remade with full destruction

And for modes, here is what is confirmed:

  • Conquest, Breakthrough, and Rush.
  • Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, Domination.
  • King of the Hill, plus the all-new Escalation. This is a mode that will scale up toward a really cool final showdown.

Everything has been playtested through Battlefield Labs, so EA is really putting in the work to polish the game in every way possible!

Portal Mode Returns, Bigger Than Before

Yes, Portal Mode is back, and it is getting a big upgrade. You will still be able to create wild custom matches, but now with better tools, full XP progression, and a cleaner UI. New modifiers will also include:

  • One-shot kills
  • Custom weapon restrictions
  • Hardcore rules

On top of that, verified modes will be highlighted to help everyone jump into high-quality custom games faster!

Multiplayer Goes Back to Its Roots

Battlefield 6’s multiplayer is clearly trying to aim for what players loved in Battlefield 3 and 4. The game is going back to basics, but with cool updates! You can check out the multiplayer trailer here:

Battle Royale Incoming?

Right at the end, EA also gave a quick nod to Ripple Effect, who are apparently working on a chaotic battle royale mode behind the scenes. No details yet, but it is coming sometime after launch! So stay tuned for this! A battle royale mode for Battlefield can definitely be some very fun addition!

With over 1 million viewers on the livestream, and the Twitch category approaching 800k, the public is already stating that Call of Duty lost this year to Battlefield 6! The game revealed promising things, now they also need to deliver upon release!

We will keep you updated with more information about the game as it releases, so keep an eye on our latest news!
