Rebel Wolves has shared a new video looking back at the past year of The Blood of Dawnwalker, while also providing a small taste of what is coming next. The update acts as both a thank-you to the community and a clear progress check on the project.
The game was first revealed one year ago during the Wolf Moon, and according to the team, the support since then has been overwhelming. From early trailers to hands-on demos, Blood of Dawnwalker has slowly stepped into the spotlight throughout 2025.
A Year of Public Showings
After its initial reveal in January 2025, the game appeared multiple times over the course of the year. Core gameplay was shown in June, followed by presentations at events like Gamescom, PAX, TwitchCon, and Poznań Game Arena. November then brought a longer gameplay showcase, which gave everyone a better idea of how the game plays moment to moment.
The team says meeting fans in person and hearing direct feedback has been one of the most motivating parts of development so far.
Showing the Game as It Is
One thing Rebel Wolves highlights again is their approach to transparency. They intentionally shared footage from different stages of development, even when systems were not fully finished yet. The goal, according to the developers, is to let players see how the game grows over time instead of only showing polished slices.
Not every suggestion can be implemented, but the team makes it clear that feedback is taken seriously and helps guide decisions along the way.
What to Expect in 2026
Regarding the release of the game, Rebel Wolves confirms that The Blood of Dawnwalker will launch this year, in 2026. Although an exact date has not been announced yet, the team says updates will become more frequent from here on out.
