The latest Borderlands 4 trailer just dropped, and it gives us our first proper look at Rafa, another new Vault Hunter with some serious cool attitude, and an even bigger range of fire. His intro trailer is loud, and he definitely sounds like he is one of a kind:
“It’s me, Rafa.” And just like that, we know we are dealing with someone who will bring chaos, fun, and a ton of damage. If one of your friends picks him, you may want to check if they are doing ok tho!

An Exo-Soldier in an Exo-Suit
Rafa is an Exo-Soldier. So basically, a former Tediore soldier who got a really cool new Deadframe Exo-Suit that turns him into a really chaotic “weapon”. With Rafa, you can slash, shoot, put down turrets, smash, and more! If all you need is a one-man army, he is your guy:
- Arc-Knives – Those are basically twin-blades charged with energy that you can use for fast and powerful melee attacks.
- Peacebreaker Cannons – Too lazy to fight yourself? Place your turrets and let them do the job for you!
- Apophis Lance – Some sort of big plasma weapon. It launches a huge plasma ball that can wipe out large groups of enemies in seconds.
You can switch between those weapons at any time, and on top of all that, his Overdrive system boosts his damage and speed when you use his abilities.
One thing is sure, Rafa looks like a perfect mix of style, speed, and destruction. If you like characters who talk big and hit harder, he might be your main. Keep an eye on our latest news for more character reveals coming soon! This is only the beginning!
