ARC Raiders is just around the corner, which means now is the perfect time to check if your PC setup is ready. The good news is that you probably will not need a high-end PC to run it smoothly. Embark has shared the official system requirements, and they look very reasonable for a modern multiplayer shooter.
Minimum Requirements
You do not need a beast of a rig to get into ARC Raiders. The game runs on hardware that is several years old, which makes sense since Embark wants as many players as possible for launch.
Minimum Specs:
- OS: Windows 10 or later (64-bit, latest update)
- Processor: Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD Ryzen R5 1600
- Memory: 12 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, AMD Radeon RX 580, or Intel Arc A380
- DirectX: Version 12
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
For reference, a GTX 1050 Ti is enough to run most current multiplayer games on medium settings, so you should be fine even on older builds.
Recommended Setup
If you want a better/smoother experience, higher resolution, and stable frame rates, you will need something closer to mid-range specs.
Recommended Specs:
- OS: Windows 10 or later (64-bit, latest update)
- Processor: Intel Core i5-9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070, AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, or Intel Arc B570

These specs suggest ARC Raiders should look and perform well without pushing hardware limits. Considering how polished Embark’s past game The Finals was, expectations for optimization are already high. However, early testers have already reported that the game runs smoothly even on lower hardware, so it shouldn’t be something you have to worry about all too much.
Ultra Settings (Estimated)
Embark has not shared official ultra-tier specs yet, but based on early tests and community estimates, here is all the information we found regarding what you would likely need to max everything out at 1440p or 4K.
- CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- VRAM: 16 GB (NVIDIA) or 24 GB (AMD)
If these settings are accurate, you will need a recent mid-to-high-end GPU to maintain stable performance on the highest settings. Nevertheless, it is smart to test the game first during the upcoming Server Slam before deciding on any upgrades.
Early Impressions of Performance
As mentioned before, players who tried ARC Raiders during recent tests reported smooth performance, even on older GPUs like the GTX 1080 Ti. That lines up perfectly with these requirements. If the full release keeps that same optimization level, ARC Raiders could be one of those rare multiplayer games that run well right from day one. (Fingers crossed!)

Should You Upgrade?
Unless your PC is seriously outdated, you probably do not need to upgrade just for ARC Raiders. Most mid-range gaming PCs from the last few years should run it comfortably. You might need to adjust a few settings if you are running a 1050 Ti or RX 580, but overall, the game seems well-optimized for a wide audience.
