It’s been nearly three weeks since Deadlock’s Old Gods, New Blood update launched, and today, a brand-new hero finally joins the roster. The votes are in — and to absolutely no one’s surprise — it’s Silver. Players have been asking for her since week one, and her long-awaited arrival has already made waves, pushing Deadlock’s peak player count past 116,000.
Silver Lunges into Deadlock
Silver is the third of six heroes planned for release during the Old Gods, New Blood update. Her kit centers on shifting between human and werewolf forms, making her Deadlock’s first true transforming character. That dual-form playstyle also gives her access to more than four abilities, another first for the roster.
In Human form, Silver’s first three abilities are:
- Slam Fire: Insteadly reload your gun, gaining bonus fire rate and weapon damage for the next 3 shots.
- Boot Kick: Dash forward and kick yourself off an enemy, marking them. Shooting them breaks the mark and deals extra Spirit damage.
- Entangling Bola: Throw a Bola, slowing an enemy, preventing them from using movement abilities, dashing, jumping, or using stamina.
Silver’s Ultimate remains the same in both forms:
Lycan Curse: Dealing damage builds up bloodlust. At max bloodlust, Silver begins to transform into her werewolf form. In her Warwolf form, she gains additional max health, movement speed, and fire rate.
In Warewolf form, Silver’s first three abilities transform into:
- Go For The Throat: Deal melee damage to all enemies in front of you, healing for a portion of the damage dealt.
- Mauling Leap: Lunge forward and stop at the first enemy hit with melee damage, shredding their bullet resist and applying a bleed.
- Tail Whip: Smack enemies around you, slowing and disarming them.
Silver is perfect for players who enjoy multiple Deadlock archetypes, seamlessly shifting between ranged pressure and melee aggression. She can poke enemies from a distance before diving into the fight to secure the kill.
