In a recent interview with Famitsu, producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, who is best known for Devil May Cry and Dragon’s Dogma, gave some really nice and exciting update on his next game! It would be a mysterious 3D action RPG that has been worked on at his new studio, GPTRACK50.

What Was Revealed During the Interview

During the interview with Famitsu, Kobayashi revealed that the game is now officially in the voice recording phase. This usually means that a game is in a pretty advanced stage in development. He also said that his goal is to reveal the project before the end of 2025. The studio is apparently already preparing the announcement! Maybe it will be for Gamescom?

He did not give any title or anything, but Kobayashi clarified a few important things about what type of game this is. He is calling it an action RPG more than just an action game. This is because he wants to avoid comparisons to Devil May Cry.

There were many people expecting it to be something like Devil May Cry because I’m involved in it. It is not a good thing to give people the wrong idea.”

Kobayashi also added that the game will not be a Soulslike, and that it is quite different from anything he has done before. He wants his new game to be something completely new, but still staying true to classic action games in some ways.

One thing is sure, there are only a few months left in the year! So it feels like the full reveal of GPTRACK50’s new title could happen very soon! Keep an eye on our latest news, we will make sure to keep you update as soon as more is revealed!
