A new trademark discovery has suddenly made things a lot more interesting ahead of The Game Awards. Two new Divinity-related symbols and a new logo were filed in Europe earlier today, on December 9, and one of them matches the mysterious statue Geoff Keighley has been teasing for the show. Fans quickly noticed that the filing uses the same legal reps as every other Larian Studios trademark, which makes this connection hard to ignore.
A Trademark That Matches The Game Awards Statue
The first symbol included in the trademark filing lines up perfectly with the design on the teaser statue Geoff posted in late November.

Until now, players had no idea which franchise the statue belonged to, and guesses were getting crazy online. Many assumed Baldurs Gate or even something Diablo-related, but this new hint points straight at Divinity.
The second symbol that was filed is completely new as well, although it does not appear on the statue. Both are reported to be registered under IHDE & Partner Rechtsanwalte, the same firm that handles all of Larian’s IP filings in Europe.

PS5 Backend Update Adds More Fuel
Right after the trademark discovery, a new entry popped up on the PlayStation Network backend as well: Divinity Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition for PS5.
This update comes more than a year after next-gen ratings appeared for both PS5 and Xbox Series, but the timing is, yet again, very hard to ignore.

So, the current theory is simple and honestly pretty believable:
- The Game Awards statue matches the new Divinity symbol
- New logos and symbols were just filed
- DOS2 PS5 backend updates arrive on the same day
- Larian has been quiet since the Baldur’s Gate 3 post-launch cycle
The most likely outcome is that Larian plans to shadow-drop DOS2’s native PS5 version during The Game Awards… followed by a teaser for whatever the next Divinity game is.
Fans Now Expect a Divinity Reveal
The Divinity community has been waiting years for news about the series after Larian put all focus on Baldur’s Gate 3. With how coordinated these updates look right now, many start to believe that TGA (The Game Awards) 2025 will include the official return of the franchise.
Of course, nothing is officially confirmed yet, but the clues are lining up in a way that Larian fans have not seen in a long time. If the statue really was a Divinity hint from the start, the reveal could happen live during the Game Awards show.
For now, it seems more and more likely that we will soon see Divinity make its big comeback on December 11.
