Duet Night Abyss is an upcoming RPG title by Pan Studio that is set to release on October 28, 2025. In an hour-long release date announcement stream, it was revealed that Duet Night Abyss will drop all Gacha elements from the game and make all the weapons and characters free for all players via progression.
But that doesn’t mean you wouldn’t be able to pay for anything in the game. Duet Night Abyss’ monetization will focus on cosmetics. You’ll be able to pay for these cosmetics to make your characters look better and a lot more.

Duet Night Abyss Version 1.0 Releases In October
Pan Studios has changed its monetization plans and adopted a Warframe-like system for its game. The players will have to progress through the game and collect Secret Letters to unlock certain characters.
These items will never expire in your inventory, and once you’ve collected enough, you’ll be able to unlock the character in question. However, this does mean that you’ll have to spend some time grinding for the materials.
You can still pay for cosmetic options, but any character or weapons in the game will have to be unlocked. Duet Night Abyss is one of the first games in its genre to adopt this type of gameplay model.
From the looks of it, the game appears to be similar to Genshin Impact by miHoYo and Wuthering Waves by Kuro Games, due to its anime-like features. But the most prominent feature of these games is their gacha aspect, which features character banners where you have to roll using a type of in-game currency.
If you’re lucky, you might get the character on the banner. But Duet Night Abyss has ditched that for a more free-to-play-friendly approach. We’ll have to wait and see how that works out in the long run. So far, the game and its future look quite promising.
You’ll be able to play Duet Night Abyss on iOS, Android, and PC via the Epic Games Store after release, and you can pre-register now for some extra bonuses.
