Funcom has just dropped big news for Dune: Awakening players. The Chapter 2 Free Update and the Lost Harvest DLC will both arrive on September 9, 2025, and that is a full day earlier than expected!
That also means the CHOAM Salvage Rights event will end on September 9, so make sure you grab all the rewards before it is gone.

Chapter 2 Free Update
This update will be free for all players. This means that all you will have to do is download the latest patch, and you will have access to all the new content.
The next chapter of the main story pushes deeper into the mysteries of your origin and the darker corners of the imperium. Alongside that, you can look forward to:
- Character Re-customization – Suk doctors and the Bene Tleilax can reshape your appearance in Harko Village and Arrakeen.
- Dynamic Desert Encounters – New surprises and challenges await in the open world.
- Archetype Armors – Five new armor sets, one for each skill tree.
- Contracts – New missions based in Harko Village and Arrakeen.
- Cosmetics – New hairstyles and tattoos to personalize your character.
Lost Harvest DLC
The second part of the update is the Lost Harvest DLC. This first DLC is included in your Season Pass if you bought that already. If not, you can still purchase it for around €25.
For players looking for even more new content, the Lost Harvest DLC adds a new vehicle, journey, building pieces, and more:
- New Vehicle: The Treadhweel – A nimble desert machine with unique animations (yes, even in reverse).
- New Story Journey: The Lost Harvest – Recover the secrets of a downed harvester whose cargo could change everything.
- Imperial Testing Stations – Three expanded stations to explore.
- Cosmetics & Building – 2 armor skins, 4 weapon skins, 5 base decorations, and Dune Man building pieces.
- Thumper Emote – Signal the sands in style.
