Bandai Namco Entertainment has officially released Patch 1.02 for Elden Ring: Nightreign, which had been previously delayed due to natural disaster warnings in Japan. The patch finally adds the much-awaited duo mode to the game. You no longer need a party of three players to begin an expedition to Limveld.
In May, the devs had announced on Elden Ring: Nightreign’s launch that a duo mode is planned, but will be released later. The patch also introduces several quality-of-life changes and bug fixes.
Major Changes In The Patch Notes
Patch 1.02 is now live on all platforms. If you want to start an expedition with only two players, you can do so by heading over to the roundtable and changing the “Number of Players” setting to two. This setting was previously called “Expedition Type,” but that has been changed following this update.

Fans had been desperately waiting for the duo mode ever since the game was launched, because you either had to play solo or with a group of three people.
The difficulty of boss battles and overall game balance will be adjusted for two players in the duo mode. Furthermore, the update also adds new filtering options for the Relics, making it easy to search for the one that you want from the Relics menu.
The update also increases the number of Relic presets that can be registered to 100. You can now sell and favorite Relics from the rewards and purchasing menu.
Aside from that, the probability of the shifting earth mechanic occurring in Limveld has also been adjusted. The update also adds “Detailed Description” to many items sold by the merchants in Limveld.
After completing an expedition, you can view the information regarding the passive and special effects from the results menu.
