FBC: Firebreak, the new three-person co-op FPS from Remedy set within a mysterious federal agency under assault, officially launched today. If you were worried about needing a monster PC to run it, we’ve got some great news. Remedy has revealed the full PC requirements, and they’re surprisingly friendly, even for older configurations.

Minimum Specs

  • GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070 / AMD RX 5600 XT
  • CPU: Intel i5-7000K / AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Storage: 30 GB SSD

While this tier will run the game on low settings, it still manages to deliver a stable 1080p 60 FPS experience with upscaling, which is technically quite impressive for older hardware.

Recommended Specs

  • GPU: Nvidia RTX 3060 / AMD RX 6600 XT
  • CPU: Intel i5-8500 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600
  • RAM: 16 GB

This is the best sweet spot you can achieve for most modern systems, which allows you to still have nice visuals, and a proper performance without going all-out on hardware. If you are in this range, you can comfortably play the game without thinking about upgrading your gear right away.

Of course, if you want to enjoy Firebreak in 4K with all the chaos turned up, you will need high specs. But compared to other recent games, FBC: Firebreak seems built to be as accessible as it is explosive. Major props to Remedy for keeping performance in mind and not locking out players with older PCs.
