At the Future Games Show, fans received another exciting preview of the highly anticipated co-op dungeon crawler, Fellowship. Alongside the release of their latest trailer, Fellowship announced that it will enter Early Access on Steam on October 9th.
What is Fellowship?
For those unfamiliar with Fellowship, it is a multiplayer online dungeon adventure featuring endlessly scaling dungeon runs. If you’re a Retail World of Warcraft player, it’s similar to a game focused entirely on Mythic+.
In Fellowship, you step into the shoes of one of seven heroes, each representing different playstyles or roles, such as Tank, DPS, or Healer. Each character embodies unique class fantasies, gameplay, and customization options. For instance, if you want to play as a mighty, hammer-wielding Arms Warrior, choose Tariq; or if you want to unleash your inner Subtlety Rogue, try Mara.
Once you’ve chosen your character, the gameplay loop in Fellowship revolves around repeatedly running a set pool of short and eventually longer dungeons, with nearly limitless scaling difficulty. Each dungeon is designed to be a 10 to 20-minute adventure, with greater rewards for completing more difficult ones.

Fellowship also features a highly customizable UI, eliminating the need for extra addons. Additionally, each hero gains more abilities and talents as you level up, making them more complex as you delve into harder dungeons. If you find that you don’t enjoy a particular role or character, you can easily pick a new hero without any restrictions or lockouts.
There are no quests, no reputation systems, and nothing holding you back from the action. It’s just you, your party of four, and the dungeons you choose to tackle. If you’re concerned that this grind will become repetitive, seasonal updates, dungeon modifiers, and new features and rewards promise to keep each run feeling fresh and exciting.
Is There an Open Beta?
The game officially launches into Early Access on Steam on October 9th. However, players can join the Open Beta starting Thursday, September 18, at 10 AM Pacific Time and ending on Tuesday, September 23, at 10 AM Pacific Time.

During this playtest, players can experience all seven heroes, including two Tanks, three DPS characters, and two Healers. There will also be a new dungeon, the “Urrak Markets,” along with new gameplay features such as Transmog, new gear, new mounts, and visual/gameplay improvements.
For competitive players, there will be both Ranked Dungeons and Quick Play Dungeons, providing more opportunities to climb the leaderboard during your gear grinds.
If you’re a fan of Mythic+ or enjoy grinding dungeons in either WoW or FF14, we highly recommend giving Fellowship a try. If this sounds like your type of grind, keep an eye on our latest news for future updates!
