Final Fantasy VII Remake fans might not have to wait much longer for news on the final chapter of the trilogy! In a recent interview with Famitsu about the first anniversary of Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, co-director Motomu Toriyama dropped a little tease about what’s next.

As they were discussing plans for Ever Crisis’s second anniversary in September 2025, Toriyama mentioned:

By then, we may have started to release information about the last part of the FFVII Remake Project, so I hope that players will get excited about that with us.”

This strongly suggests that by next September, we could finally see concrete details about Part 3! Possibly its official title, platforms, and maybe even a trailer or release window, or even some first gameplay footage! Personally, we would love to see how the Highwind will fly over the open-world map!

Could Gamescom 2025 Be the Moment?

Toriyama’s comment points to September 2025, but there is a chance we might hear something sooner. Square Enix is confirmed to have a lineup at Gamescom later this month, and some players are speculating the company could sneak in a teaser or short trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 as a surprise! They have pulled surprises like that before, so there is still hope!

Until then, Ever Crisis will keep celebrating its anniversary with special events and rewards, but the real anticipation is now clearly shifting toward what will be the grand finale of Final Fantasy VII Remake!

One thing is sure, you should keep an eye on our latest news for more information soon!
