The hype behind Monster Hunter Wilds ain’t over yet! Capcom just dropped their latest trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds Free Title Update 4! Hunters can expect the return of Elder Dragon: Gogmazios, & Arch-Tempered Jin Dahaad, an Expanded Weapon Endgame, & Festival of Accord: Lumenhymn! All of this and more will be dropping on December 16, 2025.
Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 4
This update is packed full of fresh, powerful beasts to hunt. In a special quest, four hunters can join up to fight Gogmazios! Plus, you can bring along four additional support hunters, bringing your total party up to eight, and you will likely need all the help you can get.
But that’s not all! Arch-tempered Jin Dahaad will strike later this month! New permanent quests will be available from Wednesday, December 24, 2025, and new free challenge quests will be available for a limited time from Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
New Armor & Weapons
Of course, with new monsters comes new armor and weapons. Using the materials from defeating Gogmazios, you can upgrade Rarity 8 Artian Weapons into Gogma Artian Weapons. What makes these weapons so special is that Gogma Artian Weapons have one bonus skill and one group skill chosen at random.
Of course, that’s not all. Monster Hunter Wilds Free Title Update 4 introduces the Armor Transcendence system. This new system allows hunters at HR 100+ to upgrade armor even further. Transcending raises the limits imposed on Armor Sphere upgrades and powers up the decoration slots of rarity 5 and 6 armor.
New Support Hunters
Hunters are also getting some fresh backup next patch. Update 4 will see the arrival of Nadia, who wields a light bowgun, and will provide vital support in your fight against Gogmazios!
The second & third support hunters coming in this update are Griffin, a great sword wielder from the Ferrum Unit, and Nightmist, who also weilds a light bowgun from the Aurora Unit.
Lumenhymn & New Quests
To round things out, new optional quests are coming with Update 4. Several High-difficulty quests featuring multiple 9-star monsters are being added, along with special nameplates as rewards. There will also be limited event quests coming, which allow you to forge special equipment, farm Heavy Armor Spheres, and much more!
Lastly, to wrap the year up is the seasonal event, Lumenhymn. This special winter event is bringing special new equipment, gestures, and pop-up camp decorations, in addition to various login bonuses and event quests. Plus, Fabius and Nadia can join your party as support hunters for a limited time, allowing you to fight alongside some of the Guild’s strongest members.
