Summer Game Fest 2026 is now just a few weeks away, and as always, players are starting to speculate, and it is completely taking over social media.
The event returns on June 5 with promises of new announcements, surprise reveals, gameplay showcases, and updates on upcoming games. And even though almost nothing has officially leaked yet, players already have a massive wishlist of titles they hope will appear during the show.
Some of these are realistic expectations, but others have basically become yearly traditions that fans convince themselves will finally happen this time. And they never do (Bloodborn, we see you…).
GTA 6 Is Still the Biggest Expectation

Unsurprisingly, GTA 6 is currently the most requested game heading into the showcase, especially after all the latest leaks around the pre-order dates and more. Either Trailer 3 will drop next week, or it will be for Summer Game Fest 2026, but either way, it is happening soon! On top of that, you can expect editions and prices to be revealed, and those should range between 70/80 and 100+ for the collector.
Rockstar traditionally prefers controlling its own announcements rather than appearing during big showcases like this, so keep your eyes open this week for a surprise trailer drop or something like that.
Still, the speculation never really stops once GTA 6 is involved.
The Games Everyone Keep Mentioning Everywhere
Outside of GTA 6, a few titles show up constantly in prediction threads and community discussions. We went over a lot of them, and we gathered the most anticipated games:
- Kingdom Hearts IV
- Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3
- Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet
- The Witcher 3 DLC
- The Witcher 4
- Tides of Annihilation
- Control 2
- Resident Evil Code: Veronica
- Persona 6
- Okami 2
A lot of people are also expecting updates from FromSoftware after reports about a possible pirate-themed project started circulating online. Meanwhile, Ananta continues appearing in prediction lists as players wait for either a beta announcement or a release window.
Bloodborne Is Somehow Still Here

At this point, Bloodborne has basically become the unofficial mascot of gaming event speculation. Every single main showcase like this one somehow revives rumors about:
- A remaster
- A PC version
- A remake
- A sequel
- Or literally anything related to Bloodborne
And somehow, it never happens. Still, we continue putting it on prediction lists every year anyway, because who knows, maybe they will finally give it to us, and if they do, it might break the internet as much as a GTA 6 announcement can.
Nintendo Expectations Are More Complicated
A lot of players also expect reveals from Nintendo, including:
- A new Super Smash Bros
- Pokémon Waves and Wind details
- A new main Zelda game
- Other unannounced Switch 2 projects
The only issue is that Nintendo usually prefers running its own presentations separately rather than appearing during Summer Game Fest itself. So even if these games are definitely highly anticipated, they may end up being saved for a Nintendo-specific showcase instead.
Some Predictions Are Less Realistic
And then there are the games that players mention almost entirely because they want to believe:
- Half-Life 3
- Devil May Cry 6
- Fallout 5
- The Elder Scrolls VI
- Spyro 4
- Little Big Planet 4
- Rayman
Realistically, not all of these will appear. Some probably are not even close to being ready or in production. But that is part of what makes Summer Game Fest speculation fun every year. Half the excitement comes from trying to guess which impossible prediction might somehow end up becoming real once the show starts live on June 5.
And what are your predictions for this year?
