GTA VI is, without a doubt, the most anticipated game right now. Rockstar remains quite mysterious around it, revealing only bits and pieces here and there. GTA VI Official Release Date
GTA VI is set to launch on May 26, 2026. Initially announced in December 2023, the game was expected to release in 2025. However, Rockstar decided to push back the launch date, aiming to polish the game even further before launch. This is understandable when we look at the incredible graphics from the latest trailer, which was capture entirely on the base PS5!
Platforms & Pricing
The game will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. There will be no version for older consoles like the PS4 or Xbox One, which is not surprising considering the technical demands of such a massive game. While the Xbox Series S has lower specs compared to its bigger sibling, Rockstar confirmed there should be no issue for players who wish to play on the Series S.
As for the PC version, you will sadly have to wait. The game will NOT be releasing on PC at the same time. Rockstar did not share any details regarding the PC release for the time being, so be patient!
Regarding the price of GTA VI, no official pricing has been released yet either, however, rumors are aiming for a 100$/€ game! This would be a first for any game! We recommend to not pay too much attention to those rumors, as no official statement has confirmed any price yet.

Where Will GTA VI Take Place?
Every GTA game is set in fictional versions of American cities. For GTA VI, players will travel back to Vice City, Rockstar’s version of Miami. This is one of the fan-favorite location!
But it’s not just Vice City! GTA VI promises to expand beyond its neon-soaked streets. The game will feature a huge open world that includes the surrounding countryside, beachfronts, and even swamps inspired by the Everglades. In fact, Rockstar has created an entire fictional state called Leonida, reflecting Florida’s unique landscape.
