After weeks of silence, Highguard is finally about to show itself properly. The developers have announced an official livestream showcase, scheduled for tomorrow, January 26, right as the game is getting ready to launch.
The stream will go live at 12 PM CT and is expected to give a much clearer look at what Highguard plays like. You can watch it here:
Quiet Weeks After The Game Awards
Highguard was first revealed during The Game Awards, where it closed the show with a cinematic trailer. That reveal looked impressive, but it did not explain much beyond the fact that Highguard is a team-based game with heroes, abilities, and large-scale objectives.
Since then, the project has been rather quiet, which left a lot of players unsure what to expect. With release right around the corner, this livestream is going to be the moment where the game finally shows real gameplay and explains itself; it will include a full gameplay reveal, plans for the first year after release, and more.
What We Know Going Into The Stream
So far, details around Highguard have been very limited. The game is being developed by a team made up of industry veterans, including developers who previously worked on Titanfall and Apex Legends.
What has been confirmed is:
- Team-based multiplayer with hero abilities
- Objective-focused matches, including siege-style elements
- A competitive focus rather than a story-driven experience
Anything more specific should come directly from the showcase.
A Showcase Right Before Launch
What makes this stream especially interesting is the timing. Highguard is expected to release tomorrow, the same day as the livestream. That alone makes this less of a teaser and more of a proper introduction right before players get their hands on the game themselves.
If you have been keeping an eye on Highguard since its Game Awards reveal, this stream should finally answer the big questions!
