The worlds of Honkai Star Rail and Fate are coming together in a brand-new collaboration event! During Honkai Star Rail’s recent live concert, players got a first look at this exciting crossover with the Fate series. Two beloved characters, Saber and Archer, will be joining the game soon!
This collab is definitely something to look forward to! From special events, to exclusive banners, here’s what you need to know!

Collab Date and Characters
The Honkai Star Rail x Fate collab is set to begin on July 11, 2025 at 12:00 (server time). Two new 5-star characters will be available during the event:
- Saber — Wind element, Path of Destruction
- Archer — Quantum element, Path of The Hunt. He’s also the first 5-star Quantum Husbando in the game!
Is Archer Free?
Yes! Archer will be completely free for all players. From July 11 at 12:00 server time until the end of version 3.6, you can log in to claim Archer as a limited 5-star character. The details haven”’t been fully confirmed yet, but he will likely be available through an in-game event or directly through the mail, similar to how Ratio was given in a past update.
If you want more copies of him for Eidolons, don’t worry, Archer will also be featured in a special collaboration banner during the event.
How to Get Saber
Saber will not be free. She will only be available through her own limited collaboration banner, so you will need to use your Stellar Jades or Special Star Rail Passes if you want to add her to your team.
Important Warp Information
There’s something very important to keep in mind when pulling on these special banners:
- The Saber and Archer banners are separate, and they do not share pity with each other or with the standard limited banners.
- This means each collaboration banner starts from 0 pulls.
- For example, if you spend 40 warps on Saber’s banner, that count stays only for Saber. If you switch to Archer’s banner, you’ll start from 0 again.
- Pity will not carry over to other banners after the event ends. So, if you don’t get a 5-star within 40 or 70 pulls, those warps are lost. They won’t add to your pity on other banners!
Make sure to plan ahead and save enough resources if you’re aiming to get either (or both) of these limited-time characters!
Fate/Stay Night Event — The Penaconian Holy Grail War Begins!
Alongside the release of Saber and Archer, a full Fate/stay night-themed event quest will be added to Honkai Star Rail! Starting on July 11, players will take part in a special event story where the first Penaconian Holy Grail War is about to begin, and you, the Trailblazer, may just be the next participant.
The event is set on the Planet of Dreams, where you’ll compete for the Holy Grail, an item said to make real any dream. To win, you’ll need to summon Heroic Spirits, use Command Seals, and unleash powerful Noble Phantasms, just like in the Fate/stay night anime.
Expect strategic battles featuring different classes, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. You’ll need to think carefully about your team setup to win each round and climb your way to victory.
