The moment over a million players have been waiting for is finally here. In less than 24 hours, Hytale will enter Early Access. After nearly seven years of anticipation, fans are gearing up for one of the most long-awaited launches in recent gaming history as Hytale officially goes live tomorrow, January 13, 2026.
Hytale Early Access Release

After what feels like an eternity, Hytale is finally ready to launch — and just a few months ago, most of the community had no idea this day was even coming. Development originally began back in 2015 with funding from Riot Games, who later went on to fully acquire the studio in 2020. But instead of securing the game’s future, that move nearly ended it.
In June 2025, Riot attempted to pull the plug on the project entirely.
Since then, Hytale has been revived by its original founder in November. This snowballed into the game launching into early access just a few months later.
Needless to say, hype is at an all-time high. The community has been buzzing nonstop, and modders are already lining up releases to drop alongside launch day. For a game that nearly disappeared, Hytale is making one hell of a comeback.
Hytale Release Times
Hytale officially launches at 7 AM PST on Tuesday, January 13, with a simultaneous release across all regions. Early Access will be available exclusively on Windows PC at launch, though Mac and Linux support will be coming later.
Players who pre-ordered the game will also be able to reserve their in-game name before servers go live. On top of that, the developers are encouraging all current owners to jump in early as part of a large-scale stress test, helping make sure launch day goes as smoothly as possible.
And here’s the wild part: before Hytale has even officially launched, the founder of Hypixel confirmed that the next two years of development costs are already secured through pre-purchases. That kind of early support puts Hytale in an incredibly strong position moving forward.
After years of uncertainty, delays, and near cancellation, Hytale is finally here — and it’s shaping up to have one of the most promising futures of any sandbox RPG in recent memory.
