The day is here, and the time has come. Hytale has officially launched into early access after over 7 years of waiting. Millions of fans have been waiting for launch day, so don’t wait and join in on the early access experience!

That’s right, the day is finally here, and we are home. After starting development in 2015, dropping their announcement trailer 7 years ago, and crawling its way out of nearly being canceled, Hytale has officially launched into early access.
But just in case you are unaware, what is Hytale and all of the hype behind it? Hytale blends the freedom of a sandbox with the momentum of an RPG, giving players the chance to explore a procedurally generated world full of dungeons, secrets, and a variety of creatures, then reshape it anyway you like. If you think the game is similar to Minecraft, that’s because it was conceived by Minecraft modders, for modders.
Because of this, the modding scene is already alive and well. At the time of writing, within the first 6 hours of launch, there are already nearly 100 mods listed on CurseForge, so Hytale is going to have tons of customizability and creative freedom, even during the early access days.
Where to Download Hytale
In case you haven’t already purchased it, you can buy the game here. Their lowest package is just $20, but their highest bundle, if you truly crave more customization, you can upgrade for $35 or $70 if you really want to support the devs. But just from pre-orders alone, the dev team has already amassed enough funds to cover the cost of development for the next two years from pre-orders alone. That’s before the game even went live today.
Of course, this is an early access title, so expect some bugs here and there, but here is a small reminder of what is currently available and has yet to be implemented:

- Social features – friends lists and guilds
