Recently, rumors have emerged that the Halo franchise is finally coming to PlayStation consoles for the first time. Dataminers discovered listings in the API for PlayStation-compatible Halo titles, indicating that new or older games are on the way.
Datamine Leaks
New information has emerged from Grunt.api, a well-known dataminer in the Halo community who has accurately predicted previous Halo Infinite events. Alongside Rebs Gaming, who is recognized for reporting on Halo leaks, has also contributed to these findings. Recent reports indicate that a new Halo title with PlayStation compatibility has been discovered, as listed in the API. This title also connects to PlayFab, a backend platform that enables cross-platform progression, unified online services, and matchmaking.
Could This New Halo Game Be Project Ekur?
For those who aren’t aware of what Project Ekur is, RebsGaming had previously reported that the battle royale mode initially planned for Halo Infinite, which was handed over to Certain Affinity, has reportedly been rebranded as Project Ekur. This new project is a separate multiplayer game using Unreal Engine 5. This has brought about speculation that this new multiplayer game could, in fact, be a Halo: Combat Evolved remake.

Halo Studios has also confirmed that fans will be getting their first look at their newest game at the Halo World Championship later in October. This new title could also be Halo 7. Halo Studios also mentioned they were stepping away from their older software and planned to make their future games on different engines.
Halo on PlayStation
There have also been several hints to show that some sort of Halo release on PlayStation is coming. Helldivers 2 recently revealed a new trailer that hints at a Halo: ODST crossover. And Fortnite has recently come out with another Halo crossover as well.
There seems to be quite a storm brewing for the Halo franchise, and as the hype continues to build, fans cannot wait for October. But in the meantime, keep an eye on our latest news for future updates!
