KCD2’s Final DLC Launches With Mixed Reviews

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II just received its final DLC, Mysteria Ecclesiae, but instead of a celebratory finale, the Steam page is currently sitting at Mixed reviews. The DLC launched on November 11 and takes players into a dark mystery inside the Sedletz Monastery, but reactions so far show a pretty divided community.

The main reason this is getting attention right now is simple. This is the last chapter for KCD2, and many players expected a major send-off. What they got instead is a rather short, stealth-focused story that might look and sound cool, but comes with a few issues that keep popping up in reviews.

What You Get With Mysteria Ecclesiae

Mysteria Ecclesiae is a five to six-hour story DLC set entirely inside Sedletz Monastery. The entire experience revolves around stealth, sneaking, clue hunting, and a mystery that plays out slowly through dialogue and exploration.

It is available as a standalone €13.99 purchase, and it is already included in the Royal Edition and the Saga Bundle.

There is no alchemy, no crafting, no housing, and no big side systems. It is a contained story chapter that focuses almost entirely on its investigation.

Why the Reception Feels So Divided

The setting, atmosphere, and cutscenes receive a lot of compliments. Players call it a cool throwback to the monastery storyline from the first game. So naturally, fans of slow, methodical stealth seem to enjoy it the most.

However, the issues come from a few repeating points in player reviews:

  • Bugs tied to the “Wanted” status
  • Soft locks that force players to restart
  • The strict stealth focus
  • A story that some players found too predictable
  • A short runtime that left parts of the community wanting more

A few player reviews also mentioned disappointment because the trailer hinted at something larger, and they expected a more dramatic final chapter for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Who This DLC Is Really For

Mysteria Ecclesiae seems to work best for players who enjoy quiet stealth, slower pacing, and the monastery atmosphere. If you want action, combat, or more freedom, this DLC might feel a bit too restrictive for you.

However, if you bought the Royal Edition, it is already included, so there is no harm in trying it. As a standalone purchase, it is more suited for fans who enjoyed the monastery quests in the past and want one last story before KCD2 closes out.

One Last Story Before KCD2 Wraps Up

This is officially the final DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Even with mixed reviews, it gives the game one more self-contained story before Warhorse Studios moves on to whatever comes next.
