After years of waiting, Killing Floor 3 is finally here! The game officially launches today, July 24, on both PC and consoles. It is bringing back the co-op action-horror chaos, but with some serious upgrades! Now is the time to gather your friends and ready your weapons!
Killing Floor 3 is made for longtime fans of the series, but also for new players. Here is what you need to know about the release times, what the game is about, and what to expect!
Global Release Times for Killing Floor 3
Tripwire Interactive has confirmed the exact launch times across all the regions. If you have pre-ordered the game, you can preload it now so you are ready to play the second it goes live. Here is when the game unlocks, depending on where you live:
- Los Angeles – 6:00 AM PDT
- Mexico City – 7:00 AM CST
- New York – 9:00 AM EDT
- São Paulo – 10:00 AM BRT
- London – 14:00 BST
- Berlin, Paris – 15:00 CEST
- Dubai – 15:00 GST
- Hong Kong – 21:00 CST

What Is Killing Floor 3?
Set in the year 2091, Killing Floor 3 takes place in a dark future where the megacorp called Horzine has released an army of obedient, bioengineered monsters. Those monsters are called Zeds. You play as part of Nightfall, a rebel group that has to somehow contain the outbreak and save what is left of humanity.
It is a co-op FPS that you can play solo or with up to five other players. You will have to defeat huge waves of enemies and come up with creative tricks to make it out alive.
Key Features at Launch
The following content will be available at launch. Some things have been changed from the previous games, and new content has also been added:
- Redesigned and smarter Zeds:
- Enemies are now faster, more deadly, and far more aggressive thanks to the improved AI. You may have to run faster now, if you want to live!
- Strategic gore:
- The M.E.A.T. System is back and much more gore than ever! Expect detailed dismemberment, slow-motion kills, and a ton of blood splatter. Better not wear any white.
- A huge arsenal! Expect things like:
- Flamethrowers
- Shotguns
- Even Katanas
- Tons of mods to make those weapons even stronger
- Custom builds:
- You can change your loadouts
- Take any gadgets you like
- Mix and match the skills how you want
- Environmental traps:
- You can use anything like fans, turrets, and other hazards, and use them as weapons during fights
And there is of course much more to discover once you play the game!
Mature Content Warning
Tripwire Interactive also release a mature content warning on steam. You can expect:
- Graphic violence, decapitations, and body explosions
- Tons of blood, flesh-melting weapons, and a lot of gore
- Strong profanity throughout the whole game
- Body horror and disturbing themes tied to genetic experimentation
If you have a hard time with blood or weird scientific experimentations, this game might not be for you, so just keep that in mind. For the others, have fun!
Killing Floor 3 is not just more of the same! It is now faster, even nastier, and more intense in all the right ways. You can prepare for a bloodbath with friends or try and see how long you can survive solo, one thing is sure, you will have to be smarter than the new enemies!
