Square Enix has officially confirmed that Kingdom Hearts: Missing-Link, the mobile title which was previously delayed at the end of 2024, is now cancelled entirely. The announcement was shared on the game’s official X/Twitter account, mentioning difficulties in providing a consistently enjoyable long-term experience for players as the main reason behind the decision.
The development team thanked participants of multiple closed beta tests and apologized for the cancellation, noting the valuable feedback and support from the community.
Kingdom Hearts IV is Now the Main Focus
With Missing-Link no longer in development, Square Enix is putting full attention into Kingdom Hearts IV. The company probably mentioned this to assure fans that the Kingdom Hearts series will continue and encouraged players to look forward to upcoming news on the next mainline title.
