At their recent June 12 livestream, Konami showed off more than just a faithful remake of Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater. We finally got a look at its new multiplayer mode, Fox Hunt, and it is not what most of us expected… in the best way possible.
On top of that, Silent Hill fans got a proper remake reveal, and even Ape Escape and Bomberman showed up somehow.
Metal Gear Solid Delta Is More Than Just a Visual Remake
The new MGS Delta: Snake Eater trailer confirmed that the remake is staying faithful to the original, but not without some big polish:
- Boss fights are being updated with new AI, animation changes, and balance adjustments.
- The Secret Theater is back (with remade and original skits).
- Mini-games differ by platform; PS5 gets Snake vs Monkey with Ape Escape characters, Xbox gets Snake vs Bomberman.
- DLC costumes and bonus weapons were also teased.
But the biggest surprise was a new online multiplayer mode called FOX HUNT, inspired by stealth gameplay, not traditional PvP. It is not a remake of Metal Gear Online, but something new built around hide-and-seek-style matches. No release date yet, but it is already in development!
Silent Hill 1 Is Getting a Proper Remake Too
Next to Silent Hill f, Konami also quietly confirmed that Silent Hill 1 is being remade; this time by Bloober Team, the developers behind the recently released Silent Hill 2 Remake.

The SH2 remake was well received for how it modernized the original without losing its tone, and fans are hopeful SH1 will get the same treatment. No release window yet, but it is officially happening, and that alone has longtime fans super excited.
Silent Hill f Looks Like Classic Horror with a Twist
Also shown was Silent Hill f, a new entry set in Showa-era Japan and written by Ryukishi07. This one leans into emotional horror and creeping dread rather than shock gore.
- Set in Showa-era Japan, with creepy shrines and schools.
- Protagonist is a “normal” girl, in true Silent Hill fashion.
- The Otherworld is back, but reimagined visually.
- The story will balance fear with beauty, using unique art direction and atmosphere.
It’s not out yet, but the vibe is already resonating with longtime fans, especially those who missed the classic psychological horror tone. The game is set to release in September 2025.
