Lies of P is a souls-like action RPG inspired by the story of Pinocchio. You play as a puppet who wakes up in a city overrun by madness and monsters. The game is known for its deadly combat, dark atmosphere, and unique take on a classic tale. It launched in 2023 and quickly became a huge success among fans of challenging games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne.

A few months ago, a DLC was officially announced: Lies of P: Overture. While no specific release date was revealed yet, we know it is coming for Summer 2025. You can take a look at the official trailer here:

Lies of P: Overture – What to Expect

As mentioned before, the game’s first DLC, Lies of P: Overture, is officially on the way. While the full details are still under wraps, we know it will expand the story and introduce new content, including:

  • New areas to explore
  • More bosses and enemies
  • New weapons and Legion Arms
  • Other costumes for your character
  • New challenge modes
  • Difficulty options
  • And more!

New Difficulty Options Are Coming

One of the biggest changes coming with Overture is the addition of difficulty options. In the base game, there was only one difficulty setting, which offered a tough challenge with no way to adjust it. That made the game appealing to hardcore fans, but tough for many new players.

With the DLC, Lies of P will offer multiple difficulty settings for the first time. This means more players will be able to enjoy the game at their own pace. If you want a more relaxed experience or an even harder challenge, both will be possible.

Two options will be added:

  • Butterfly’s Guidance
  • Awakened Puppet

The game’s default difficulty level, the one we know from the base game, will be renamed Legendary Stalker. While this addition raises concerns among the most hardcore fans, many players are happy to welcome new players to the franchise.
