The Pokémon Company revealed Mega Hawlucha for the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and fans are absolutely in love with the design. Previously, Mega Victreebel was revealed, and its design received a mixed reception from fans, with some loving it and others criticizing it. However, Mega Hawlucha has brought the entire community together as we all love it.
Mega Hawlucha appears slightly larger than the base version, with bigger wings and a decorated lucha libre costume and mask. The Pokémon Company also released a short reveal trailer for Mega Hawlucha on YouTube. It is expected that more new Megas will be revealed until the release of Pokémon Legends: Z-A on October 16, 2025, for the Nintendo Switch consoles.
Mega Hawlucha Is Ready To Unleash Its Signature Move In Pokémon Legends: Z-A
The Pokémon Company has been announcing new Mega Pokémon for the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A. The game features a return of one of the most popular game mechanics, Mega Evolutions. These Mega Evolutions significantly enhance the Pokémon’s abilities and also give them a visual upgrade.
In the reveal trailer, Mega Hawlucha can be seen fighting against a Machamp, which is considered somewhat of a rival to Hawlucha since previous Pokémon games. After being nearly defeated by Machamp, Hawlucha Mega evolves and makes a comeback in the fight. Mega Hawlucha is able to defeat the opponent Machamp with ease in its Mega form.
Fans have been loving the design which pays tribute to the traditional lucha libre. Mega Hawlucha also uses Counter and Flying Press in the reveal trailer, alongside some other moves.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A will becoming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 16, 2025. If you’ve got a Hawlucha in your Pokémon Home, the time to use it might be coming soon.
