Capcom has confirmed a new Resident Evil Showcase livestream set for Thursday, January 15, at 2 PM PT / 10 PM GMT, and the spotlight is once again on Resident Evil Requiem.
You can watch the showcase on the official Capcom Twitch account, and they even released a small trailer for it!
Capcom has also confirmed that co-streaming and reaction content are fully allowed, so if you are creating content, feel free to react to it.
Not a First Look, But New Details Incoming
Resident Evil Requiem has already been revealed and shown off previously, but this showcase is not about going over old content. Instead, Capcom says fans can expect additional gameplay footage and new information, offering a better look at how this next game is going to play.
This makes the presentation less of a reveal and more of a detailed new look, likely expanding on ideas and mechanics we have only seen briefly so far.
“A New Era of Survival Horror”
In its announcement, Capcom once again describes Requiem as the start of a new era of survival horror.
“Be one of the first to see brand new gameplay and news for Resident Evil Requiem. A new era of survival horror begins.”
That wording suggests the showcase may focus on what truly sets Requiem apart, and that could be many things, such as the tone, structure, gameplay systems, or overall direction.
With plenty of unanswered questions around Resident Evil Requiem, this showcase could finally give a better picture of what is next for the franchise.
