More Third-Party Games on the Way for Nintendo

Almost two months after the launch of the Switch 2, Nintendo will be streaming a partner showcase direct on July 31st. The stream, which will go live at 6 AM Pacific time, will focus on upcoming games from third-party publishers headed to both the Switch 2 and the original Switch.

The last 3 directs have focused on the Switch 2 and first-party games primarily. The last one in June showcased Donkey Kong Bananza, which launched July. The direct on March 27th featured many third-party games, but this will be the first one where gamers will get more info on titles headed to the Switch 2.

What can we Expect?

While Nintendo hasn’t revealed any advance info, there are some anticipated titles gamers should look out for. Big AAA games will be headed to the Switch 2 like Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition and the upcoming Borderlands 4. Some of Square Enix’s offerings are also set to land on the platform, like Final Fantasy 7 Remake Integrade and Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles.

Games from smaller devs may also make an appearance. Hades 2, Supergiant’s follow-up to the mega-hit roguelike, will make its way to the Switch 2. And for gamers looking for a cozier time, Two Point Museum will also be playable on the console in 2025. And perhaps if we’re very lucky, we’ll get more info on Hollow Knight: Silksong. Many are still in shock the game may actually come out. Will there be any surprise announcements? We’ll have to wait and see.
