Overwatch has just announced that its next Hero Trailer will be released on April 8 at 9 am PT. Not only will players get their first look at the 6th hero coming in 2026, but they will also see what’s in store for the next chapter in the Reign of Talon.
What to Expect From the Upcoming Overwatch Hero Trailer
2026 is already shaping up to be a massive year for Overwatch. Not only has the franchise dropped the 2 and gone back to just Overwatch, but along with this shift, Blizzard is bringing 10 new heroes to the game over the course of 2026.
Recently, we got a massive drop of 5 new playable heroes, which include:
- Emre
- Domina
- Mizuki
- Anran
- Jetpack Cat
After this initial wave of new hero releases that came with the first chapter of the Reign of Talon, Blizzard has confirmed that 5 additional heroes will be coming in later seasons and events throughout 2026. The 6th of the 10 confirmed Overwatch hero will make their debut in a new Hero Trailer on April 8 at 9 AM PT. This new hero will also be Overwatch’s 51st character, with many fans already guessing what their role will be.
But many are already guessing they will be a DPS, since Blizzard dropped an updated screenshot that includes Hero 51. But with that drone, there are also some rumors that they could fit as support.
Which Character Would You Want Next?
Out of the 5 new heroes that dropped earlier this year, we have only gotten one new Tank character. On top of the likelihood that Hero 51 will be a DPS or a Support, would you want a Tank character next, or is there another character that you are rooting for?
