Blizzard has released the official trailer for Overwatch 2 Season 18, launching on August 26th. It looks like an interesting season to take part of with its new content.
Here is what is coming this season:
- New Stadium Quickplay Mode: Payload Race – teams will push their payloads to the finish line in head-to-head action.
- 4 New Stadium Heroes – more options to try in this new mode. Tracer will also join mid-season!
- 3 New Stadium Maps – new places to fight and race.
- 50+ New Hero Perks – new ways to change up your playstyle.
- New Hero: Wuyang – a water-based fighter with abilities all about rhythm and flow. Wuyang can heal, deal hybrid damage, and move gracefully while disrupting enemies.
At the very end of the trailer, there is also a sneak peek at a Persona 5 collaboration. Persona 5 is a famous JRPG game where you join the Phantom Thieves of Hearts as they stage heists and infiltrate the minds. Its dungeon crawling aspect, as well as Personas collection, will work well with some potential fun cosmetics for Overwatch! A crossover like this could bring some unique flair to Overwatch 2.
