Earlier today, a new Phantom Blade Zero gameplay demo video surfaced online, showing over 20 minutes of footage straight from China’s S-Party 2025 event. We finally got a closer look at multiple zones, cinematic boss fights, and the game’s fast-paced combat that blends Soulslike stamina mechanics with cool-looking character moves.
Right now, two videos are making the rounds – one from IGN and another straight from Bilibili (each with a watermark). Both show how smooth the game seemingly runs on PS5, with fluid animations, stylish finishers, and a stable frame rate that makes the fights look intense and cinematic.
Combat, Style, and Difficulty
The demo highlights just how varied the combat can be. There are plenty of weapon choices, fast parries, and fluid combos that make every encounter look cinematic. S-GAME is clearly trying to go for its own style rather than mimic FromSoftware’s formula, even though there is a stamina bar in play. It is also worth noting that the game will launch with four different difficulty settings, so both casual players and hardcore action fans should find a level that feels right.
Visuals and Performance on PS5
Visually, the combat and animations shine the most. Apparently, some players think the environments look a little plain compared to the flashy battles, but the overall presentation and performance on PS5 are still very impressive!
Platforms and Release Info
Phantom Blade Zero is confirmed for PS5 and PC, but there is still no official release date. Hints from the developers suggest it could be a 2026 launch, though nothing has been set in stone yet.
