Wuthering Waves Version 2.7 just released a new character, Qiuyuan, who is available to pull alongside Zani too. Both characters are excellent in terms of strength and exploration. But this time, I want to discuss Qiuyuan. People say he’s a very good support for Galbrena, but is this true? Let’s take a look and see for ourselves!
How Powerful are Qiuyuan’s Buffs?
Qiuyuan is a Support and Sub DPS who can provide:
- 30% Echo Skill DMG Buff from Forte
- 30% CRIT DMG from Liberation
- 50% Echo Skill DMG Amplication from Outro
Thanks to his buffs, Qiuyuan is excellent for characters with mostly Echo Skill DMG attacks, such as Galbrena or Phrolova.
How Good is Qiuyuan in the Meta?
Qiuyuan is one of the best supports for top-tier DPS characters, and this will likely not change any time soon. Since both Galbrena and Phrolova are meta-defining characters currently, Qiuyuan is also considered the best support. He currently ranks among the other top-tier supports.
However, this doesn’t mean that Qiuyuan is a must-have, as each Support character in Wuthering Waves has their own unique buffs. Based on what characters you currently have, the best Support for your team might look very different!
How Can I Use Qiuyuan?
For now, Qiuyuan pairs the best with Phrolova: he makes Phrolova stronger in every way. If you pair him with Galbrena, Qiuyuan is a good alternative if you don’t already have Lupa.
The best team consists of Galbrena, Qiuyuan, and Shorekeeper or Phrolova. This team performs very well and is even stronger than teams with Lupa.
Is Qiuyuan F2P Friendly?
Qiuyuan is arguably a character well-suited for Free to Play accounts, as Qiuyuan’s signature weapon does not have a significant impact on the team’s performance.
However, if you make Qiuyuan your Main DPS, you will need his Signature Weapon Emerald Sentence. For the best F2P Weapon, consider the standard 5-star weapon (Emerald of Genesis). For Qiuyuan, all of the stats and passives from Emerald of Genesis are useful, so it’s worth picking up!
In addition, Qiuyuan is also perfect for those who enjoy exploration, as his Hold Skill allows him to run quickly over bamboo. Talk about efficiency!
Based on the reasoning above, Qiuyuan is mostly suitable for Galbrena and Phrolova. Perhaps there are more characters who’ll work better with him in the future.
