A New Red Dead Redemption 2 Mystery Has Been Found After 7 Years

Seven years after launch, Red Dead Redemption 2 still manages to surprise its community. Players recently uncovered a previously unknown spider web Easter Egg, and it has already turned into one of the most involved mysteries Rockstar has ever hidden in its world (so far).

The discovery began with a strange spider symbol found on a telegraph pole in the Heartlands of RDR2’s story mode. Overlaying the symbol on the world map led players to eight different telegraph poles, with each pole featuring a spider web and a feather that can be shot off.

Following The Trail Of Clues

At the center of the symbol, players found a tree covered in a massive spider web, marked with the letter N and a drawing of a telegraph pole. Shooting the pole directly north of the tree then revealed a hidden message beneath the wood, which pointed players west across several more poles.

Following that trail uncovered yet another message, this time showing a guitar symbol and the letters “NW.” Heading northwest leads to Fort Wallace, where players have since spotted guitar imagery near guard towers, but no confirmed next step yet.

One Of Rockstar’s Most Detailed Secrets Yet

The mystery currently ends at Fort Wallace, but the community remains convinced this Easter Egg leads to something bigger. The sheer complexity of the clues, combined with the fact that no one noticed this for seven years, has players amazed.

Full credit goes to FindingNo7 for uncovering the clue and Strange Man for documenting the discovery in detail. For many fans, this proves once again that Rockstar’s worlds still hide secrets long after release.
