Deadlock’s first hero from the New Blood, Old Gods update is finally here — and players are flooding back in. Rem, the newest character, has officially debuted, sending the concurrent player count for Deadlock soaring to nearly 100,000.
Rem in Deadlock — Sleepy Support Overview
While Deadlock doesn’t have strict class roles, Rem feels closer to a true support than any hero added so far. Their toolkit focuses on poke damage, healing, objective control, and crowd control, giving players plenty of ways to shape the battlefield.
Here’s a quick breakdown of what Rem can do:
- Knockback: Push enemies away while reducing the cooldowns of other abilities, including the ultimate.
- Ally Attach: Rem can attach to allies to heal them based on missing health per second.
- Helpers: Deploy small helpers to collect Boxes, Souls, or Sinner’s Sacrifice. Helpers can also attach to allies or troopers, boosting movement speed, spirit resist, or helping push lanes.
- Ultimate: A large AoE slow that ends in a sleep effect, which can pass through walls. Targets who are falling asleep cannot use movement abilities.
Rem’s abilities make them ideal for players who love micromanaging objectives, supporting teammates, and controlling the flow of battle.
