While some fans were disappointed their favorite games didn’t show up during the first Summer Game Fest 2025 livestream, the show still brought some big surprises! From Mads Mikkelsen’s unexpected return, to a new Resident Evil game, and even Game of Thrones, here are the biggest reveals you need to know about.

Resident Evil Requiem

The Resident Evil series turns 30 soon, and Capcom is celebrating with a brand-new entry in the franchise. While they first teased it as upcoming later in the year, the show ended on the new trailer.

The next main game is officially called Resident Evil Requiem, and its trailer gave us a first look of a ruined version of Raccoon City. This could possibly hint at open-world elements. We even see the once-iconic Raccoon City Police Department in ruins. No details were given regarding the gameplay or world.

This time around, it seems there is no more Leon, and no more Ethan, we get a new lead character: Grace Ashcroft, an FBI technical analyst investigating strange deaths. Her mission sends her back to the place where her mother was murdered, forcing her to confront her past. This also means that we will not be following Ethan’s daughter in this game. Or will we?

The trailer also leaves some mysterious clues. Grace is strapped with a voice whispering: “I know now that you’re the one I’ve been searching for. The special one. The chosen one.” Capcom is still keeping a lot of information hidden for now, but more may be revealed later during this year, so keep your eyes open!

Mads Mikkelsen Returns

Mads Mikkelsen is back as Le Chiffre, but this time not directly in James Bond. He’s appearing in an upcoming update to the Hitman series. However, it all ties together, because IO Interactive, the studio behind Hitman, is also working on a new Bond game titled 007: First Light. Players who complete the Le Chiffre challenge in Hitman will unlock special rewards in 007: First Light.

This crossover might be our first hint that Le Chiffre could show up in the new Bond game too. For now, you will have to track him down as Agent 47 first!

Lies of P: Overture DLC Is Out Now

The creepy, soulslike action game Lies of P just got a major expansion. The DLC, called Lies of P: Overture, is available starting today. If you love Lied of P, or if you wanted to try it out, now might be the perfect moment to jump in!

Game of Thrones: War for Westeros

Love Game of Thrones? Well, get ready to join your favorite Houses, or even the Night King himself. Game of Thrones: War for Westeros is a brand-new real-time strategy game. You’ll be able to fight alongside iconic heroes, raise your banners, and battle for control of the Seven Kingdoms. You can even play solo or in chaotic multiplayer matches.

Atomic Heart 2 Announced

It’s already been two years after the release of the first game. Mundfish is now back with Atomic Heart 2. The game is coming to PC and consoles, but no release date was announced yet. All we know is that it’ll be as Atomic as the first game was!

With all those major titles announced, and even more to come over the weekend, one thing is sure: the next year will be full of new adventures and characters to love!
