Capcom, or Sony, may have just dropped a quiet hint about Resident Evil Requiem, and fans are officially freaking out! One of the most awaited characters seems to be confirmed to at least appear in the next Resident Evil game!

Leon Appears in Updated Cover Art

The PS5 PlayStation Store page for the game was recently updated with new cover art, giving us what looks like the first official glimpse of Leon S. Kennedy in the upcoming title.

The update was discovered by players who pre-ordered the game on PS5 and checked the pre-load page, where the new image is now live.

The updated artwork puts Grace Ashcroft front and centre, and Leon can be seen in the background. This is the first time he has been visually linked to Resident Evil Requiem officially.

A Timed Tease Ahead of The Game Awards?

What makes the timing interesting is that this store update is happening just a few days before The Game Awards 2025.

Capcom has not officially confirmed Leon’s role yet. However, this kind of quiet store page update usually suggests that something could be coming during TGA. We can maybe expect a new trailer or more details about the game.

With Resident Evil Requiem releasing next year, this teaser definitely raises a ton of questions:

  • What is Leon’s role in the story?
  • How his path connects with Grace Ashcroft?
  • Will there be two protagonists?

For now, Capcom is staying silent, but this PS Store update feels less like an accident and more like a teaser hiding in plain sight!
