Ryu ga Gotoku, the studio behind the popular Yakuza/Like a Dragon franchise, has uploaded some information about Yakuza Kiwami 3 on their official website. While there hasn’t been an official announcement for the game or its development, it appears that this information might have been posted on the website by accident.

If the leaks are true, we’ll likely see some sort of announcement regarding the game on the upcoming RGG Summit stream on September 24, 2025.

While the leaked information has been removed from the official website, many fans were able to spot it before it was taken down.

Yakuza Kiwami 3, A Highly Anticipated Title

While the first two games from the Yakuza series have received remakes in the form of Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2, the third game was only remastered for PC.

Yakuza 3 on PC is a decent game, but it pales in comparison to the other modern Yakuza/Like a Dragon games. If the leaks are true and Yakuza Kiwami 3 is indeed incoming, it might fix the graphics and gameplay issues that were present in the original title.

RGG is set to hold the RGG Summit stream on September 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM UTC +8. You can check out the stream directly on SEGA Asia’s YouTube Channel.

If there’s no announcement during the stream, we might have to wait for the Tokyo Game Show 2025, which is held from September 25 to September 28.

If we do get a Yakuza Kiwami 3, it will be a game-changer for the new players who are trying to get into the franchise. Yakuza/Like a Dragon has many titles in their franchise, and it is recommended to play all of them to get the best experience out of the latter titles.

However, Yakuza 3 used to be a slightly dull game to play through, especially after you’ve played Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2.
