Riot Games is heavily working on their League of Legends fighting game, 2XKO! It looks like they are ready to push it into the next phase. They just announced a global closed beta that will officially start on September 9, 2025, and it will be available exclusively on PC.

You can check out the announcement here:

You can sign up already if you want to participate. Those who were part of the previous Alpha Labs will get automatically access to the beta. Once you signed up, Riot will gradually give access over time.

Riot Games also confirmed that they intend to keep the game live from this point on (outside scheduled maintenances). The early phases of the beta will focus on everything that is backend testing and fixing, and then they want to improve moving forward.

VI Is One of the Playable Champions

In the official announcement, Riot also revealed one of the new playable characters: Vi! She will be part of the closed beta and even available to try early at EVO 2025, from August 1 to August 3,2025, in Las Vegas. This means there will be a total of eight champions so far. In total at launch you will have 10 champions available to play.

No Cross-Platform Yet

The beta will launch on PC only, so there won’t be any cross-platform available for the Beta. However, Riot has confirmed that 2XKO will support cross-platform and progression once it releases on consoles as well. So do not be scared, anything you unlock or test now, will indeed carry over to console later. No loosing anything!

September is still a few months away, so you can expect more reveals at EVO 2025. If you plan on going there directly, you will even be able to test the game before everyone else!

Keep your eyes on our latest news, we will make sure to share more as soon as possible!
