The first opportunity for players to step into Aragon and try out Scars of Honor will be during their official playtest from April 30 to May 11. In order to gain access to this playtest, you must visit the Scars of Honor Steam Page and click on the “Request Access” button.
Below is a quick overview on what you can expect to see during this playtest.
What is Scars of Honor?
Scars of Honor is an upcoming free-to-play MMORPG where combat is skillful, classes are endlessly customizable, and adventures await around every corner. Scars of Honor takes place on the war-torn continent of Aragon, where two alliances battle for survival as an ancient Ice Dragon stirs in the frozen North. These two alliances include the Sacred Order and the Domination (you will get to choose one of these factions to play on when creating a character).
Scars of Honor will offer a wide range of features that will allow you to completely customize your character based on your ideal playstyle.
These customizable features include:
- Selection of 8 different races
- Selection of 10 different classes (certain classes are locked behind certain races)
- In-depth skill trees for each class
- Unique “Scar” system that fundamentally alters your abilities and playstyle
- And more!
Please note: The first playtest will only have four classes available to test. This includes Paladin, Mage, Ranger, and Druid.

Scars of Honor Key Features
Once your character is created, you will truly be able to experience Scars of Honor. Outside of the customizable features listed above, there are a range of in-game activities that look to cover a wide range of what most MMO enjoyers seem to be looking for.
These include the following:
- Fast, modern combat that rewards positioning, timing, and decision-making. Master active abilities, react to enemy patterns, and outplay your opponents rather than relying on rotations alone.
- Unique build customization with over 240 talents per class and permanent “Scars” that fundamentally alter your abilities and playstyle.
- Endless dungeon exploration, where no two dungeons runs are the same. Dynamic layouts, shifting encounters, and changing modifiers will ensure each run offers new challenges, strategies, and rewards.
- PvP with fair competition, where you can test your skills in arenas and 5v5 battlegrounds with equalized gear. Victory will be determined by teamwork, strategy, and mastery.
- In-depth crafting and progression system where players can craft, upgrade, and customize gear to complement their specific builds and preferred playstyle. Progression within Scars of Honor will support experimentation, letting players refine their characters as they grow stronger.
Additionally, Scars of Honor will have no pay-to-win and states it will have a fair monetization model focused on cosmetics and convenience only.

Details on Scars of Honor’s First Playtest
The first Scars of Honor playtest will provide players with an early look at the following categories:
- Combat and leveling
- Questing and open world exploration
- Talents and the Scar System
- Gathering and crafting
- Procedural dungeon
- PvP battleground and arena
- Built-in voice chat
Reminder: As noted above, not all 10 classes will be available for testing in this first playtest. You will only be able to try out Paladin, Mage, Ranger, and Druid during this playtest.
Keep in mind that this is a technical playtest, meaning that some systems are still being tested and refined, and that it won’t be uncommon to encounter bugs or errors throughout the testing. The goal of this playtest is to capture feedback in the categories listed above and capture the thoughts and feelings of the player base as they take their first steps into Aragon.
