SEGA has shared an updated look at its upcoming release slate, and while there are no new release dates attached, the roadmap gives a clearer idea of what is coming over the next couple of months and even years.
The slide comes from a recent financial presentation and outlines titles planned beyond 2026. And yes, some big names are still very much in the making.

Persona, Virtua Fighter, and Classic Revivals Still on the Way
One of the more important entries is Persona 4 Revival! This one continues to appear under SEGA’s upcoming plans, and it is making a lot of players happy, us included. There is no release window attached yet, but its presence suggests development is still moving forward. It is only under the “Upcoming Plans” part, so do not expect it for 2026.
The roadmap also lists:
- A new Virtua Fighter project
- Total War: WARHAMMER 40,000
- Total War: Medieval III
- Stranger Than Heaven
- Revival projects for Crazy Taxi, Golden Axe, Jet Set Radio, Streets of Rage, and Alien: Isolation
Most of these are still labeled as “Title TBD,” so do not expect specifics just yet, but it is a strong reminder that SEGA is actively working on bringing back several legacy franchises.
Four Major IP Releases Planned for 2026-2027
SEGA also added that they plan to release four major new titles tied to its main IPs during the next fiscal year (April 2026 to March 2027). The company did not clarify which franchises those will be, but with Persona, Yakuza, Virtua Fighter, and multiple revival projects in development, there are a ton of candidates possible.
For now, the roadmap does not bring new trailers or release dates, but it does reinforce SEGA’s current strategy: double down on established franchises and space them out across upcoming fiscal periods.
More concrete announcements will likely come later this year, but if you were wondering if projects like Persona 4 Revival or the new Virtua Fighter were still happening, this roadmap suggests they absolutely are!
