Silent Hill f Leak Calls It Disturbing, Brilliant, and Grotesque

Silent Hill f is already grabbing attention, and not just because of the horror. A DualShockers writer slipped up and shared their review early, giving the game a 9.5/10 before quickly deleting the post. By then, though, screenshots and reactions had already spread.

Famitsu has now joined in too, handing Silent Hill f a 36/40 (9/9/9/9) and complimenting its atmosphere, grotesque imagery, sound design, and multiple endings. One full run should take about 12–13 hours, with New Game+ continuing the story.

A Different Kind of Silent Hill

People who played early say this might be one of the most disturbing entries yet. If you are interested in playing the game, you can expect some extremely heavy themes: torture, burning, branding, and body horror that apparently goes way further than fans expected.

The combat seems to have hints of a Soulslike style, but it is still firmly Silent Hill – more about tension, atmosphere, and making you dread what is around the corner. And with multiple endings plus New Game+, it looks like there are plenty of reasons to keep going back in.

Ryukishi07’s Touch

The story comes from Ryukishi07, the mind behind Higurashi and Umineko. His reputation for unsettling, psychological horror is exactly why so many fans are excited. Combined with Unreal Engine 5 visuals, Silent Hill f looks like it is going to hit both mentally and visually in a way few games dare.

Silent Hill Is Back

With Silent Hill f, the SH2 remake, SH: Townfall, and SH: The Short Message all lined up, Konami really seems to be reviving the series in full force. For a lot of fans, Silent Hill f feels like the real “return to form” moment – the same way Resident Evil 7 reset Capcom’s series.

If the early reviews are anything to go by, Silent Hill f could be one of the strongest horror releases in years.
