The Steam Winter Sale starts later today, on December 18, 2025, and will run until January 5. It is one of Steam’s biggest sales of the year and usually a good moment to check your wishlist, grab a few discounts, or pick up something new over the holidays.
As always, the Winter Sale will include a huge variety of games. Valve has shared an official trailer that highlights both big releases and upcoming titles, as well as some well-known favorites. So, if you are a PC/Steam player, you can expect discounts across many genres, from large AAA games to smaller indie projects.

- Borderlands 4
- Hades II
- Elden Ring Nightreign
- Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
- Slime Rancher 2
- The Last of Us Part II Remastered
- Assassin’s Creed Shadows
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- Dune: Awakening
Once the sale is live, prices usually stay the same for the full duration. There are no rotating daily deals, so you do not need to rush purchases on day one.
When Does the Steam Winter Sale Start?
The Steam Winter Sale goes live later today at the following times:
- Los Angeles: 10 AM PST on December 18
- New York: 1 PM EST on December 18
- London: 6 PM GMT on December 18
- Berlin: 7 PM CET on December 18
- Tokyo: 3 AM JST on December 19
- Sydney: 5 AM AEST on December 19
Steam Awards Are Coming Up
Although the focus right now is on discounts, the Steam Winter Sale also leads into the Steam Awards. Finalists will be announced during the sale, with the awards themselves taking place in early January. We will cover that separately once we get closer to the actual date.
